B20 South Africa Launch Event | Century City Conference Centre
On February 24th and 25th, Cape Town proudly hosted a history-making moment – the B20 South Africa Launch Event. For the first time, Africa took centre stage in the B20 presidency, marking a powerful step toward global inclusion.
Themed “Cultivating Tomorrow: Inclusive Growth and Prosperity,” the event became a defining milestone for South Africa and the continent. Furthermore, the experience went far beyond a traditional conference; it evolved into a movement promoting collaboration, innovation, and sustainable growth.
The Gala Dinner
The opening gala, titled “Hello Africa,” immediately captivated guests with a powerful fusion of poetry, dance and performance art. Moreover, it celebrated African heritage through rhythm, energy and emotion, creating a vivid sense of pride and connection. Ultimately, the evening honoured the spirit of unity and progress that continues to define the continent’s inspiring narrative.
The Visionaries
The creative direction and execution of this landmark event were led by Aleit Events, Vuyisiwe Moleshe, and the B20 Taskforce. Together, they produced an experience that was both breathtaking and deeply meaningful, seamlessly merging creativity and purpose. In addition, every element – from sustainable décor reflecting forward-thinking design to Msaki’s unforgettable live performance–showcased South Africa at its finest.

More than just an event, the B20 Launch reinforced South Africa’s growing influence in global economic policy and innovation.
