ABSA Champagne In Africa Festival | Summer Place Hyde Park
On 7th and 8th November 2024, the prestigious ABSA Champagne in Africa Festival returned – a celebration of luxury, artistry, and African excellence. Hosted at Summer Place in Hyde Park, the festival brought together the finest in design, performance, and experience, transforming the iconic venue into a space that honoured both heritage and innovation.
The Design
Curated and coordinated by Aleit Events, the event was a masterclass in elevated styling and thoughtful design. From sculptural floral installations by Vanilla Pod Events, to bespoke décor and detailing, every element reflected sophistication with a contemporary African edge. The marquees and Bedouins, by Downings Marquee, provided the perfect architectural framework, while moody candlelight, modern textures, and artful accents created an atmosphere of refined celebration.
The Experience
Guests were welcomed on a custom red carpet, setting the tone for an evening defined by elegance and flair. Throughout the event, world-class performances – including the powerful vocals of the Afro Tenors filled the air with emotion and grandeur. Live music, contemporary dancers and pianist Motlalepula Mokoena added layers of artistry that captured the spirit of the festival.
The space came alive under expert lighting and sound, complemented by bespoke scenting from @auracollectionza, signature cocktails by @onehundredbarssa, and exceptional cuisine by @bywordofmouthsa – all perfectly orchestrated to engage every sense.
The Partnership
The festival also featured a range of creative collaborations, including designer partnerships with @maxhosa, a car showcase by @dadasmotorlandza, and metal sculptures by @vaccaro_art, adding an innovative, modern edge to the luxury experience.
@karma_balloons and @chargedisplay provided playful, functional touches, ensuring the event combined both practicality and visual brilliance.
The Execution
Flawlessly executed by the Aleit Events team, the ABSA Champagne in Africa Festival 2024 stood as a testament to world-class coordination, design, and creativity.
